So i install the tu8 and the mod menu for mw2, but when I go to search for an xbox live game I cant find anyone it jus 0/0 people online and will say I need an update, please help

By the sounds of it you are going online without Xbox live gold as spoofing doesn't work on mw2.
You will normally get an update too, you can do that
To sum it up. You'll need real Xbox live to play online as it will read you as a silver account
