My mobo usb ports aren't working.

So I was skyping my friend and my webcam wouldn't pop up so I quit skype.

Then tried to reopen skype, wouldn't open.

So I rebooted pc, when it rebooted noticed keyboard wasn't lighting up and mouse wasn't working.

Unplugged them from the usb ports multiple times and nothing even tried to charge my phone from a usb port and still nothing then I came to the conclusion that my mobo usb ports are unresponsive.

I'm no pc wiz at all and google isn't helping.
So wtf do I do? Do I have to buy a new mobo wtfffffffff
wtfffffff

Are they USB 2.0 or 3.0?

Have you tried going into Device Manager and seeing if the drivers are missing? Alternatively, re-install your motherboards chipset & USB drivers too.

Did your PC do any updates when you restarted your PC? Have you also tried running a System Restore?

Not too sure if 2.0 or 3.0.
I'd link my parts but my part list is on my pc.
All new parts as well I re built it like 4 months ago or so.
No usb ports are responsive so my mouse isn't working either.
And nothing updated when I restarted.

It's so annoying because it happened randomly all I tried to do was restart my pc and it just goes to crap wtffffff

Do you have any USB ports on the front of your case? You say that your motherboard USB's aren't working, so try the USB's on the front of your case.

The USB's would be 3.0 if they we're blue, red etc and USB 2.0 when they are just black.

UPDATE

okay so I was able to plug my keyboard into a usb port labeled, "USB 3.1 Gen 2 TYPE A" and its picking up my keyboard so I can get into my pc now.
My mouse even works when I use this port.
How do I update my drivers?

That's very strange, I haven't came across that before.

Alternatively, try booting your PC up in Safe Mode if you can and test the USB's. This is to see whether any program/script is blocking USB input.

See my most recent comment & how would I do safe mode?
