I have a PS4 and it has a push button for the power on and eject not a touch sensor

Does that mean it is an old PS4 or a Newish one

Its the newish version if it has the Mechanical buttons.

I have the mechanical push button on my PS4. My partner has the touch sense kind of one, i personally hate it simply because the slightest thing that touches it just shut's it off...

You would have the newer model. I prefer the older model as you could upgrade the hard drive up to 5tb
