Do post offices sell the flat rate boxes? And would they help me ship something if i go there?

Yes, local post office will provide box's depending on what you're trying to post/ship.

i'll be shipping an xbox, do they carry the medium boxes hopefully? How difficult is the shipping process? Never done it before

They will provide you with a box, which will be a extra charge + shipping. So you just explain that your shipping a console they'll weigh it and then provide you with a box, to be honest bro it's really simple if you express to them what you're wanting to do.

If you live in the UK you can go to local post office, and get a box that is the right size for whatever you need to ship..
