The general election has ended in a hung Parliament, meaning no party has overall majority. So what happens now?

Will the party with the most MPs form the next government?

Not necessarily. The party with the most MPs, when the votes have been counted in all 650 constituencies, is normally described as the winner and its leader nearly always goes on to become the next prime minister.
But that might not happen this time with an inconclusive result. It is possible for the party that came second to form a government with the help of other parties.

What is a hung parliament you may ask? It is a parliament in which no political party has enough seats to secure an overall majority. Therefore noone wins.

This will very much be an ongoing story throughout the day so try and keep discussions about this on this thread and/or shoutbox.

Theresa May is one of the stupidest politicians to ever grace our TV screens. How on Earth did she manage to balls this election up so badly?

Yes, Theresa, you know what the British public love? Fox hunting. Let's include that in the manifesto. How about taking free school meals away from kids? Brilliant suggestion, that won't make you look absolutely god-awful at all.
Why not just say Hannibal Lecter is your role model and Machiavelli is your favorite historical figure at the same time?

She is at a point where the Liberal Democrats are literally grand-standing over her and Jeremy Corbyn is walking around acting like he won.
She has to keep reminding people that the Conservatives did actually win because this was so embarrassing.
This was so bad for her that she is now trying to align herself with an anti-gay party just to scrape through.

The only good thing to come out of this election - in terms of Brexit - is Nigel Farage saying that if things don't go the right way in the negotiations and the British people don't get what they want, he will have to start campaigning again.

This should have been an easy win for her, and some people are even floating the idea that she dropped the ball on purpose to make a soft Brexit much more likely, and I wouldn't even be close to believing that if it wasn't for the absolute abomination of a manifesto they decided to release.

Absolutely, I voted for her and I think she should drop off the face of the planet.

That's a good thing? Farage is one of the worst politicians in the uk. Never won a seat in his whole political career, walking meme.

I did say, 'In terms of Brexit.'

What has he said which you think would make his return a bad thing?
Saying that being a walking meme is evidence of being politically untenable is a non-sequitur anyway, just look at Donald Trump.
