What I did to achieve where I am today is to work hard, and gain respect as a member. I would concentrate on the badge's that you want some are #P2W and some are free which is nice. I would also go for; gifting people gold (if you have the $$$) I would do giveaways, not only that help people. Gain respect around the forums which is the most important thing and it's time consuming. All the best!

Be active like the opposite of me

Set yourself a realistic badge to aim for that isn't P2W such as '1k Rainmaker' and just focus on that, as you progress other badges will come your way aswel as building up your reputation.

I feel you, I haven't posted maybe 10 posts in over 4 years but I keep trying. I hope to see you more around being active as the lot of em that's the best way to better your account. Just keep posting helpful and honest comments/topics and you'll do just fine!

Get gold membership and just go on the shoutbox if you want real popularity.

You could get gold, post a lot more, do some giveaways to get your name out there, and get a good profile revamp (avatar, banner, sig).

Just be active really, make some cool interesting topics
that you think other users will find helpful, join in and chat in the shoutbox and make new friends
maybe good something good for the community like host a few giveaways.
