Don't know if I'm being stupid but is this right?
Basically I'm going to install Windows on a 250gb hdd and have a 1tb hard drive for games, documents etc ?
Is that the right thing to do
Many thanks

Did you mean 250 GB SSD or HDD?
It doesn't really matter where you store your OS on in terms of HDD, it's all down to preference. Personally, I would store my OS on the 250 GB. You already mentioned you want to store your games and other files on your 1 TB. I try to keep my OS drive as clean as possible without it getting too cluttered from other installations. I do have a few games on there, but nothing that makes it too cluttered. If you want faster load time, the HDD with the fastest RPM, will benefit with the OS being on it as it'll load up quicker than the slower RPM HDD.
If you meant SSD, I would throw my OS on the SSD no questions asked. You can install some games there since you have 250 GB, but I would only do games that you plan to play a lot and that you want the fastest loading times.
