Are you sure the game installed successfully ? Did you install the game through the disk or from another source?

Its been installed a long time ago it was done by the person I purchased it off came pre loaded.

It was working fine before yes. I manged to get it loaded once but then when I clicked multiplayer it froze and disconnected me to xbox live..

Well you said you clicked multiplayer so clear cache 3 times and try to go back on the game.

If it was working fine before, I don't really see what it could be. Did you change any of the game files, add any menus, anything like that ?

Try clearing cache from both dashboard and XEXMenu and then try loading up the game again.
