Personally I'd go with the grom, as I would rather the ninja but not a 300.

Since you just turned 19.... I am going to assume that you are using this motorcycle for everyday commuting. If that is the case, then you should go with the Ninja 300. It has more power. The grom hardly has any power.... it struggles to get on the highway.

If you just want to go around town and have some fun without worrying too much, then get a grom. Just know that you are limiting your self in almost every way. The only thing that is better on the grom, is the size. You can fit almost anywhere. But that also means that people might not see you as well as a "normal" motorcycle.

If you want to watch some reviews, then you should check out chaseontwowheels.

Also check out the Yamaha R3. I have heard great things about them...

And if you are just starting out riding, and this is going to be your first motorcycle. You might not want to buy a brand new motorcycle. Also if you can wait a little bit. Then wait until around Christmas time. People sell motorcycles really cheap. And while you might not be able to ride it for a while, you will save a good bit of money.

I would say that the Grom gets more attention as the Ninja is just a normal looking sports bike. For me, I would take the Grom as I have a CBR500R already, but I would take the Ninja if I didn't have one like it as it's far more practical for passing and commuting.

Honda Grom's look great and are fun to ride, however if you have the license to be riding a 300cc bike instead, take the Ninja.
The novelty of having a small bike will soon wear off if that is your reason for going for the Grom.

For me the Ninja 300
