is there a possibility something could go wrong in the other pc if i just put my graphics card in it because it's a bit on the older side but has a gtx 970 atm
No. If it doesn't display anything then you know the GPU is faulty. Otherwise, something else in the new system is the issue and the GPU is fine. FYI, GTX 970 isn't that old a GPU and a 6GB GTX 1060 is a very minor upgrade form a 970 anyway. In fact, at best, the 6GB 1060 is a 'sidegrade' from a 970.

Mucho confuso. What GPU did you swap in to what system? You tried the GTX 1060 in two systems and both times had issue displaying signal? Seems like the GPU is the issue then. I'd try the GTX 1060 in either system on a different monitor(or TV), and if you still can't get it work, RMA the GPU.

I put the gtx 970 in the new pc and had the same no signal. and I just put the 1060 in the old one but it seems to not really fit and the fan wasn't spinning. (sorry for not clarifying)

Well if the GTX 970 worked in the old system but not now, then it looks like the GTX 1060 is fine and something else in the new system is the issue. Possibly motherboard. It would be useful if we had the specs of both the new and old system. Also, I'm not sure what you mean by the GTX 1060 didn't fit in the old system? Make sure you're not plugging the display cable in to the motherboard.

Didnt even see your specs my bad is there a red light flashing on your motherboard or any beeps? Turn on your PC and press CAPS lock to see if a light appears on your keyboard.Remove Motherboard Battery and Change RAM slots see if that does anything.
