So I have many things in life I want to do. Some short term things, some long term and some that I know I hate to do but I love to at the same time. My long term goal is to be a high standing comedian and perform with the likes of Frankie Boyle, Russell Howard, Jimmy Carr etc.. Only issue I am running into is that intro to comedy that is just so hard to get into. I know what area I want to be in but where to start is where I am struggling. I am great at wisecracks and quick witted comebacks and most of all, insults. As hard as I work I can never seem to want to not be funny. I am always joking around and trying to expand my ever lasting range of comedic therapy. If you know what I can do to stop struggling with this block, please comment! I am trying to write my act this month and submit it as a book or as a script even! Thanks!

A running gag with popular stand up artists build up life stories like Gabriel Iglesias, he made a whole hour skit of him pretty much saying that hes going to die from being overweight.

Even Kevin Hart does things like that and even Dave Chappelle

it goes like

Start of a joke --> jokes building up around the normal joke ---> long enough to forget the original joke
---> Start of the original joke.

Like one of Kevin hart's stand-ups he does a bank account joke "well you see how my bank account is set up" he started his stand-up with that joke and in the end he ended with that joke, but it long passed in the hour-hour half he was preforming, when he said it again, it was still relevant and still just as funny as the first time.

if that makes any sense.

if you don't know what i mean, watch his standup, laugh at my pain, should be on youtube.
