They don't allow you to use your own phone/modem.
Here is a work around I found on their forums.

Not the same modem as your, but same backend; so these rules still apply.

I added a splitter, one side to the purchased modem for internet and other side to existing modem that now only does phone. They disconnect the internet part of the TWC modem, you keep it though for phone use, but now you do not pay for it. Seems odd, but the way it is.
Just be aware, this splitter is going to bring more noise.
Ok so update on this, maybe it is just speed test that is messed up because I just bought the new COD and my internet is all good or so it seems.
