I have an HP Omen laptop with intel I7, nvidia GTX 860, and 8 GB of ram. I have had the laptop for a few years and when for about two years my FPS was around 120 (on the standard CSGO visual settings...so the settings were on high quality) which I was happy with. However, now when I try to play CSGO my fps is half of what it used to be...it literally is 60. I am struggling to come up with a solution to fix this huge drop in FPS. I have tried reinstalling CSGO, verifying the integrity of the game files, adjusting all the visual settings to low, cleaning my pc of excess files, updating my BIOS and NVIDIA graphics card drivers, various launch options, and disabling excess programs that run in the background/would slow my computer. If someone could please try and provide me with a solution I would appreciate it. Thanks ;)

I have the OMEN HP Lap Top also with the RX 580 and it ran csgo perfect at first then it started dropping in spikes. I think it may have been something to do with the game. I play world at war 2 and forza horizon 3 at 60 fps on high/ultra. Only csgo messes up maybe after next update itll fix.

Ok, this may be a long shot since you did say you turned down settings but make sure you did this:

Multicore-Rendering: Yes
Texture Filtering: None
Anti-Aliasing: None

They're sneaky and they drop your FPS a lot. If not use my old auto-config I posted on here; Downloads/id=34131/csgo-config.html
