will the i7 7700k work with the msi gaming m3 z170A? i heard you have to do a update or something... how does that work??

Its compatible if the bios is updated so you would need a compatible CPU to do the Bios Update and then you could use the newer CPU on an older Motherboard.But it wont work if you dont update your Bios first.

it will work but you would need a 6xxx skylake to update the bios or something im not really sure how flashing bios really works without a cpu for that board but as long as its updated it will work fine but i would highly recommend a 2xx board to avoid that headache if you dont know how to update the bios
