He should have informed you about this before you purchased you console that he was going on vacation and. Shouldn't have taken Any orders until he had returned from his vacation
This is what I would of done for my customers I keep all my customers informed every couple of days

I personally would open a paypal dispute regardless, In any respect this would cover yourself if there were anything to go wrong and that you are guaranteed your money back if the item does not arrive. It is then in your responsibly to confirm paypal to close the case when the item does turn up in working order and so on.
