I'm planning to build a pc primarily for Photoshop, Lightroom and Sibelius, and possibly the occasional bit of gaming (but, like, Minecraft and stuff). I'm hoping to keep this under 1000GBP. 600-800GBP would be amazing. I'm also quite new to this so I'm finding it hard to know what processor to choose and what makes one motherboard better than another. Graphics card wise, I'm looking at a gtx 1050 or 1050ti, which should deliver the resolution I want (I'm looking into quad hd monitors, around 21"-27") but I can't find any information on what role the graphics card has in colour accuracy, which is, of course, very important for me. Is this card overkill? I'm looking at 16gb of RAM - DDR3 or 4 is something I haven't done much research into yet. Is there an obvious choice? Definitely going for an ssd, and I'll put in a traditional hard disk as well for more storage. Already have a keyboard, mouse and external sound card. Any advice?

Hi Mate,

You're best off putting this into the 'PC Building' section. I would help however I'm more of a restart the computer type of guy ha.

I will give my best advise when building it but for pricing a machine up together you're best off in that section.

Cheers
