Haven't seen this till now,
I honestly don't know how people can get so low on themselves to commit something like this? I mean I can't talk down on the kid because I don't know what he goes through.

I might just be talking out of the top of my head but I believe this was caused by some form of domestic dispute or a long time of physical/verbal abuse against the teen. Possibly the members of the family (and family acquaintance) he shot and killed abused him in a way and he finally reached the cracking point and ended up killing those family members.
As to the two members of his family he left alive, they were possibly the only two members of the family who treated him with some respect and dignity.
Years and years of abuse, without receiving any help or moving away from the abusers, can definitely lead to a mental breakdown and cause a person to crack. I'm just sorry nobody was there to help this teenager before he comitted the act.

What goes on in their heads to make them want to do this, especially at that age. It would never even cross my mind and thoughts.

I do not agree with what the guy did here, but I also do not know the whole story. As someone stated, maybe he was being abused and had reached his breaking point. There are many possible reasons for why he did what he did.
Some people just deserve to lose their life. For example, people who commit mass murders for no good reason. Like someone who goes and shoots up a school just because they want to. Or someone who goes and shoots up a mall just because their life sucks. Or rapist. If someone were to try to rape another person, they should not have their life. If they do something like this, there is no telling what they are going to do next, or if they are going to do it again. Or people who abuse animals. I do not care if it is just a "animal", most of the time, they can not defend them self. It is as simple as that. And I do not believe our traditional ways of putting people down are very good. For example, people who are on death row are normally drugged and put to sleep. I think that people who commit very bad crimes such as rape should suffer a similar fate, and then lose their life.
And the list goes on and on.

This world saddens me, how could someone abuse a family member to that point?
