RedWood wroteExist_ wrote I still believe he staged this whole situation.
Yep so they walked into the Japanese suicide forest with a dead body to hang it on a tree and take some videos.
yep, deffo staged.
Have you seen what people do for views on Youtube especially the prank channels?
They stage violent attacks, kidnappings and murders just to get popularity. If Logan or his PR team don't announce that this was staged within the next few days then I'll believe it but for now I could see them staging it as a possibility.
Search up 'Killer clown prank' or 'Sam Pepper fake murder prank'.

Here are the top few tweets from Japan and how they reacted to seeing it hit main Japanese news outlets.
I think my biggest issue with the whole situation is the lack of respect and maturity, even going to the forest it self is rather disrespectful if not for the unspoken purpose. It's stupid that entering the forest with a camera, recording the body, checking over recorded footage, editing footage, uploading footage and in all of this his brain did not engage that it would be a poor idea to show it to his young audience.

I see where you're coming from but it looks like he was around for quite a while after the emergency services arrived and none of them seem to be acting like it was just a prank.
It also looked like a detective of some sort comes up to them and tells them that they can't be in the restricted area they set up.
It would be a bit weird if they set up the restricted area around the body without checking the body for a pulse first at the very least.

this is not an apology. He didnt get the reaction \he wanted, this is regret. I saw a post earlier on twitter on what he shouldve done. He shouldve just cut out the part o where they saw the person, he shouldve sat down in his room and talked about what happened, linked suicide prevention numbers and not his merch.
Him linking his merch speaks volumes to his actual intention with the video.
Also him saying that laughing was his coping mechanism is completely false. If this was truly as shocking/traumatizing as he made it out to be, he wouldlnt have entered the coping state yet, he wouldve been frozen in his footsteps and tooken back by what he had seen. He wouldve been in a 'shocked' phase.
To make it worse his apology was literally on a notes page on an iPhone. Yes he did make a video to try and further convince people that he was actually sorry. Now i know one the "Paulers" was a Disney actor, im not sure who, but if Logan wasnt the actor its not hard to mkae it look like you have been crying. Just rub your eyes and put some eye drops in.
Its actually sickening that he tried to use this for views and to increase his merch sales. And whats evern sicker is that children look up to this scumbag and think he did nothing wrong. There are videos of kids actually crying because of the hate he is getting for exploiting a mans death for his benefit. The even crazier part is that YouTube didnt do a thing about it.
His actions are pitiful and unfortunately nothing will happen to him because his fan base is all children who think he is some kind of god. He could murder someone and his fanbase would say he did nothing wrong. Karma will be back for him some point in his life.

When you have a platform in which you can reach that many people you should show respect and should be held to a higher standard. Just awful actions for anypne let alone someone in his position.

The fact that Youtube didn't take the video down is interesting, and it seems like one of the few times they've taken a principled stance on something.
When VICE did their documentary about the forest they also showed dead bodies hanging from trees and that video wasn't removed either.
Both videos do, in essence, exploit the corpses in the forest to make money. They just do it in very different ways.
VICE being through a somewhat high budget, somber, respectful documentary and Logan Paul's being basically the opposite.
The people saying that Youtube should have removed the video, removed his channel, etc. might not realize that they are asking Youtube to decide what level of professionalism is the correct amount of professionalism to be able to show something like this.
I just don't see how that would work.
What if someone made a video which was about the forest, showed a dead body, but was somewhere between Logan Paul's video and VICE's documentary in terms of professionalism and respect?
Do we want Youtube to be the one's deciding if we can see that or not? I don't.
I guess they already do this though because you can't see things on Youtube that you would see on Liveleak [as far as I know.]
