Up until a year ago my brother went to the marines and sister got married, we both would play on separate Xbox's, parents on computers and sister on Netflix. Never any problems with lag, rubber banding or anything.
Now that they are both moved out, parents don't use computers at all besides email, I'm experiencing more lag than ever across all games since about 2 months ago. So 4 times now we have had our ISP come out and remove splitters, replace wiring/cables etc. to fix our internet. We have always had 15mb speed and I can't seem to figure out why. Ran a speed test on my phone and it came back 8.13mb with 213 ping, detailed test on Xbox X came back 4.68mb with 0% packet loss. I have a wired connection from Xbox to router and obviously the router is wired to modem as well. They are the best ISP in our city, and like I said we never had problems till 2 months ago.
So what could I be missing? Or do games now require more than 15mb bandwidth?

Truthfully, i'm surprised you didn't get any lag with only 15mb. i would say on average you should have at least 25+ if possible, as for ping, i get a stable 30 ping on Overwatch, its perfectly fine to play with, but i did play at a friends house who had a 10 and it felt like knife through butter smooth.

Just throw out your router and buy Virgin Active, and you get 300mbps - 350mbps, and an upload of 20mbps.
Problem solved.

When you plug a computer directly into your modem, what kind of speeds to you get?
Also run a traceroute in your current configuration and PM me what you have going on.
