So recently I have seen lot of posts about people complaining TTG is dead......
Sure it might not have as many hits as it had a few years ago but go look around at other gaming forums that became big within the same time frame.. they are dead..
The shout box is always active with conversation whether its non sense or gaming talk...
The post feed is constantly updating with new posts within minutes...
so please tell me how TTG is dead?
TTG has so much potential to grow even bigger with gaming and tech... TTG won't die for a while.
What do you think about TTG?
Just because we don't have kids spamming the COD section doesn't mean we are active. TTG has so many better attributes now and attracts people from all types of interest. Why should TTG be limited to modding when there is so much more than that in the world???
I personally love being able to read posts about virtually anything opposed to who's modding mw2..

I agree, TTG is definitely not dead. The CoD section just isn't poppin' as it used to. I'd like to see that happen again, so we can be more "active." < Tis a joke. But, it'd be fun to see something big blow up and having TTG be the go to for it. Soon.. Soon my friends..

A majority of the original userbase is gone, which is why these complaints are a thing.
The site changed from a jtag forum with some odd/general sections to more of a general forum.
This has attracted a whole different demographic.
When I complain about inactivity it's typically when I look through the Off-Topic section and I see the caliber and quantity of posts being made as opposed to what it once was.
Rules change, people grow up, members get banned, the site adapts to different crowds.

People who complain about TTG being dead are referring back to the times of MW2 modding for comparison to these times.
The site was only active because 12 year olds, such as myself, were spamming the shit out of topics with "invite me" or "are you online?" or some other crap like that. When talking about activity on the site, yes, it was way more active back in the day. But it was only due to people spamming the crap out of MW2 topics.
Nowadays, there's so much more content than just modding or glitches; there's activity in different sections of the Forums, giving it life in different aspects. Whoever considers TTG is dead can just log off out of disappointment because it hopefully never goes back to those spammy modded lobby posts.

The JTAG days will be missed for sure, but like you said the site adapts to new crowds. Shouldn't users adapt to the new TTG as well?? we have to move on eventually lol.

That's exactly what is happening. People are either moving on or adapting to the "new" site.
Nostalgia is just a bitch and people remember the site as something amazing when in reality it was always just a tech related forum. Just because jtag stuff is somewhat on the backburner doesn't make this a brand new or dead site. I just want the off-topic rules back and I'll be pleased, but I feel like they've been relaxed to encourage posting, even if it is lower quality in general.
