Out of the the gaming forums i have come across, TheTechGame is so different in many ways, one being we have a chat room known as the Shoutbox, i am in there daily along with members that also are active in the every day, and we do have new members even starting to use it which is great, not many gaming forum sites have such a great feature. Also the love for the community, we have gold giveaways topics pop up all the time, and its lovely to see members helping out other members in that way, not to mention the giveaways in the gold section. TheTechGame also has a great Staff team, and they spend alot of time helping members out, and keep TheTechGame in check. I think its also great that the Staff team are voluntary and do not asked to be paid, which is hard to find such members that would do that on another site, without them asking the owner for them to take some money for being Staff. This is not the case with TheTechGame, only ones who get paid is telli, as his the developer and Sean as his the owner of this great site. That being said, i can tell you Sean has to spend alot of money on servers etc. Theres alot on people that own gaming sites such as this one but i bet you they dont put as much money in to there site as Sean does.

Your rant about the All Time High badge is not affecting the site in any way shape or forum, Staff members have the spams under control, and if its considered spam the posts will be deleted. That also being said, there is only a few members at a time even going for the All Time High badge anyways, its not like there 100 members all posting the same reply's just to stay in the lead, like this month for example, we only have to member competing for the All Time High badge, even then Staff members are aware of the high post count in just a few days and Staff will be reviewing there posts to see if its spam, so basically my point is All Time High badge is fine and under control. If you think a post is a spam its very simple, ''Just report it as spam'' Staff will then follow up with your report. Even before the All Time High badge there was always spams and there always will be stupid posts. Just report it!.

We just don't have a whole lot of Topics about free mods etc now Sites still really active just at other parts of the site.

A site is made on members and back when lobbies were really popular people didn't join to be a part of the community they joined for there own gain which was to get mods and mainly they posted asking for free.

Now people still ask for lobbies etc for free but not on the scale of back then I like how TTG is now honestly people actually talk abut other things and actually come here to be a part of the community.

Adam wrote You say that TTG is dead, I say otherwise. I was saying this a couple of years ago but you can't compare it to the modded lobbies days. Sure, the site had a lot of traffic back then, but realistically, people where more interested in getting mods and such rather than contributing to the forum.

What I see now is a lot of hard working members that want to make a difference for TTG. Making topics, engaging in conversations and talking to each other all helps.

Sean has put a lot of work into allowing people to contribute in more ways than just posting too, like the badge system ect. There's many things you can do on TTG, maybe you're just not into the whole scene any more?

In terms of the SB, I'd say I've been active in there since what 2014? It's calmed down so much since then. I came back last year to see a whole new crowd in there, a different vibe, more chilled, less memes. It actually feels like the SB has grown up.

I don't know about anyone else, but TTG is still the place I go to talk about tech and keep up with news. There's so many people you can relate to, talk to, even game with.

Cheeky edit for spelling

might wanna make an edit because i never said the site was dying or dead. i personally think this site will live on for many more years to come but if we keep this up all the one hit wonders are gonna leave after 5 minutes on this site. theres 0 interaction for new members, they come into the off topic and see nothing but the same god damn post over and over again why would they want to stay? they dont even get treated well like i was saying with the shoutbox earlier. they dont know that you're joking with them if you do mess around with them. Why do you think you stayed? you joined when modding was huge, you had an appeal to the site now you're loyal. new kids come in out of no where probably because they heard of this site from old videos or friends and they dont know what to do. MODDING HAS DIED and same as the growth of the site which is why im saying the member count isnt going to explode like it did back then the REASON THIS SITE IS BIG HAS DIED. luckily it had loyal members like us but look what its becoming, people like me are getting tired of it and are debating to quit. and of course im not the entirety of the site and everyone has reasons for staying like the news etc etc what ever... and i dont think kids are making an effort to engage when they're commenting dry 10 letter replies completely off topic from what the post is even about, i mean some of them are and i like it. they want to make friends, have fun, what ever... but the badges are the reason why everyone is so janky now.. it encourages activity which is what i like but its draw back is the abuse of simply doing nothing. open a topic type something random or the 1st words that come to mind when you read the title and you're gone.. i think the pc section is what this site is going to be based around now, the pc forum guys hand over good advice and it seems to be going strong unlike modding and what not. i havent been huge in those sections anymore because i quit console gaming so im normally around the general area so i dont really know how strong it is over there... idek what im talkin about anymore so ill stop it here

I've noticed this to an extent. Just the other day, a person asked for help with their PlayStation, then you scroll down and a kid says "I don't know anything about PlayStation but good luck". Like what? I wish it wasn't all about badges anymore. In my opinion, they should add the 20 character limit back.

I don't have an opinion one way or the other, one that I can back up with facts anyway, but TTG could have five active members and four of them would say the site is still excellent and better than it has ever been.

If a post interest's me, ill give my two cents, may it be something i'm knowledgeable in, i'm not gonna go into the car/football forums because i don't know anything about those topics. I stay in gaming discussion but even that is spammed with unwanted trailers in my opinion.

Long story short, i feel like warnings should be given out if people just put "glws" or something that has nothing to do with OP's post, it should be more enforced. i see way too many people who go for post count.

I'm almost 2 years active with hardly any posts, i try to be at least knowledgeable in the topics that i reply in.

I'm sure one day it will come down to that sadly. Website wont be active all the time. Well it's active with users posting around the site but not active enough for the site to keep on the run in many of years to come. One of the active sections on the site is the Downloads Section as we can ALL agree on.

Unfortunately it has slowed down. Its not because the members are leaving. We are just busy. We have grown and now jave jobs, family, college, etc. Before, all we cared about was hacks and glitches to a game. Now, things have changed.

Most use the point that newcomers spam the general discussion. l have no problem with that. Let them. We all did it. That is their way of interacting with this community. I did it and i can bet most of you did the same thing. Yeah, i posted topics such as" whats your favorite team" or "whats your favorite all time game" i did it because i wanted to see everyones thoughts. Nothing wrong with that. Now if you see a topic exactly the same as the other but just worded differently, report it. Thats what its for.

If you come across a newcomer and tell him to stop spamming. What do you think he will do? He probably wont post as much, which will mean that section will slowly be inactive.

I used to be on the site everyday, specially in the shoutbox but im currently in college trying and i mean trying to get my engineering degree. If i had absolutely nothing to do, id be on TTG.

But i just love to go out with friends and fam, but i always tend to come back to ttg to see whats new or to see whats up in the shoutbox.

Im just going to say this, sometimes i would go straight into the shoutbox and see people talking about some really weird stuff and that just makes me cringe and leave. No wonder newcomers dont stay in there, its really weird. I can name the users but i rather not. But most of the time is just straight up chill in there and new members are welcomed there.

The badges arent a problem. I love the idea of them adding more tbh.

Just you wait until MW2/3 becomes backward compatible. Also, I feel like if they allowed social account sales it would increase popularity. As for now, it's a place to chill and learn stuff. It's far from dead.
