Hey folks, so not a lot know this but I have extreme bipolar depression. One moment I can be as happy as can be, then a few moments later I'll be depressed, over absolutely nothing. Doctors think my PTSD causes it but they really have nothing that helps. I've been on dozens of pills, seen multiple therapists and now I have to see a psychiatrist just to be put on a new medication but I don't want to go.

I'm not making this post for attention, but to ask, when you guys are depressed, and I mean down right out of it, what do you do to help you? I've tried music, my thoughts drown it out, I've tried gaming I just can't focus on it, I've tried exercising but when you have two kids, it's kind of hard.

Any thoughts? What do you guys think that could help me?

Just try doing what makes you happy, keep all of the bad thoughts out of your head and etc.

I like to play guitar. That really helps me. I'm not great but I get into the music and it helps me forget about my real life. Music therapy is great for depression.

Talking about it with someone you trust or finding some form of outlet like the gym or video gaming.

Honestly, the thing that helped with my issues (similar to yours) was food, not an excessive amount but quality food. It calms me, even making food is good! Gaming seems to worsen me, despite loving it! Mainly because I could probably rage at pokemon. I'm sorry to hear this man, if you need a chat or anything you can always talk to me, won't judge!

When I get depressed I will end up down at the gym listening to some grime tunes, as that gets me all pepped up.

Surround yourself with people that make you happy and want you to succeed if you lose them don't worry about it. People come and go just be thankful for the moments with them and not think about it if they leave. Friends are the best gift other than life do what makes you happy regardless of what people think because in the end its you that's happy.
