It will download a .PUP file. Rename that file to to PS3UPDAT.PUP and put it onto your FAT32 formatted flash drive in PS3/UPDATE

Insert the Flash drive into your PS3 and go to System Update and Update via Storage Media (make sure there's NO disk in the drive) (I would also encourage you to disconnect from the internet)

This, just make sure you get the correct update you're wanting from ReBug.me or you're going to need to e3Flash you're console back down to 3.55 if you're not happy with the CFW Update, but spot on this. (there is no way to downgrade you're console back to 3.55 with an USB, only e3).
