Just went ahead and watched through season 2, apart from the pacing it wasn't bad, don't know why there appears to be such a negative vibe surrounding it. As for the upcoming season 3, I am glad that it is coming this year, and only an airing season between season 2 and 3. As I mentioned before regarding the pacing of season 2, it makes me wonder as to whether it was intentional as they had already considered another season, which may also explain why it is coming so soon as opposed to a minimum of a year later. Looking forward to seeing how psycho Renner goes moving forward and how Evileye continues to interact with Momon.

I think it was the multi year gap in between seasons that gave it that negative vibe. Waiting that long for a season that wasnt even guaranteed to begin with and having the majority of it revolving around lizard men and knights instead of Ainz and his cast of NPC demons left a bad taste in peoples mouth. I do think you're correct on the pacing though; having season 3 be a short few months in between to ease the pain that was season 2 was ultimately (imo) the way to go.
Hopefully season 3 is better, if the ending of episode 13 was any indication, it looks promising.

I agree with both you and Mortar, Saki. I definitely think it was the multi year gap and the rather slow pacing of the 2nd season. Several times while watching it I thought that it seemed like a lot of buildup for another season and I guess I was right, and so soon too. I'm absolutely looking forward to season 3 with eager anticipation. July isn't soon enough, honestly. This year is looking to be a great year for anime.
