I paid £3.50 for a sandwich a bag of 32.5g packet of chrips and a 500ml bottle of juice...

What do you think??

Sounds about right to me.
Places have to pay for the food and the hourly wage(most likely) of their employees.
A couple dollars for a small meal to fill yourself up costs about 5 dollars in the US. Sure, it could be cheaper, but for the general sandwich spot that's pretty good.

At subway, it'd be what, closer to $10?

That's not too bad Tesco do a £3 meal deal with them same items in it.

Food in the US is expensive as hell my man I'd pay $5 for a sandwich chips and a drink instead of $4.50 for 10 nuggets at McDonalds

That's about right tbh. I had a heart attack when I went to an M&S Garage and paid £8 for about the same.

I eat at Subway 5 days a week when I'm home and the cheapest foot long is just under $10. Then you still have drinks and chips!

Life hack- get the 36 pack variety chips at Walmart for $10 and get your own drinks too.
