Pretty decent pc. Should be able to get done what you need to. What he said though may depend on what games you play. This rig should be able to run any new games, fps will just depend on your settings.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'm going to be building this in the next 2 months, I don't plan on overclocking. For the monitor, I have a 144hz 4k monitor I purchased not too long ago. I'm going to be playing games (possibly streaming) like PUBG, Ark: Survival Evolved, R6S and pretty much most of the popular games right now. My other plans for the system are generally just basic school work and youtube.

Oh god, I didn't mean to put 4k haha, I was looking at 4k TVs when I typed that in and mixed things up.

So, first of all, definitely don't get that GTX 1070. You can get a 1070Ti for cheaper, and a 1070Ti is a great fit for 1080p144Hz. Since you're not particularly interested in overclocking/tweaking, I'd recommend Intel over AMD. Also the fact that you're more interested in better gaming performance for yourself, the Intel CPUs will be noticeably better at 1080p144Hz.

The case and SSD you chose are fine. The P400S is priced amazingly right now so it's definitely what I'd recommend. You might want to spend a little extra on the SSD and get a 500GB Samsung 860 EVO, but the 500GB MX500 is great for the price. PSU is pretty trash, definitely doesn't belong in a system like this. Don't pay near $100 for OS, you can use Win10 for free legitimately or you can easily find a key for less than $30 from somewhere like G2A.

Thanks for the advice! I had no idea you could use windows free so that will really help. I found a Samsung 860 EVO for $140 so I'm upgrading to that. I'm also going to use that power supply you recommended and the 1070ti. I think I'm gonna go for the overclocking and stick with the Ryzen 2600x as I did a bit more research on overclocking. Hopefully, this updated system will run great!

In that case, grab a Z370 mobo and i5-8600k instead. i5 will be noticeably better at 1080p144Hz than the Ryzen equivalent.

or swap the 2700 for a 2600x maybe, but really at that point you're better with an i7-8700 IMO. Ryzen 7 should let you stream better quality, but even an i5 will be noticeably better performance in games over Ryzen at 1080p 144Hz. That said, you'd be getting a 1070Ti, not a 1080Ti, so that might alleviate some of the CPU 'bottleneck' you might see from Ryzen, so R7 2700 could be a solid option if you're going to overclock and don't mind tweaking RAM speed in the BIOS.

Samsung B-Die is best compatibility for Ryzen. Though the cheaper RAM I included in the parts list is great for the price and will work fine, just might not be as fast boi.
