Anyone know a windows image recovery tool that works and doesnt recovery every little picture and detail of random programs and all that extra stuff. All the ones i have used literally have recovered thousands of photos and i couldnt find any photos that i wanted to recover and saved myself. All that was recoverd was a bunch of windows and program file computers and a bunch of random stuff. Anyone know a program that can specifically get pictures i saved

Unfortunately, data recovery doesn't work like that. There isn't a selection process where you can point it to a specific path and tell it to grab data from there that I'm aware of.
I personally use [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] which will show you it's original path where the data was. Possibly this might help you.

I can vouch for both, used it in the past. Adam is right, you can only scan the whole drive and not a specific path which, yes, takes longer but you then you can choose what files you want to keep specifically.
Best to do this now rather than later.
