I just upgraded my internet today to virgin media i was with sky i and was getting like 2.5 mbps download speed and it was costing me so much.

switched to virgin it was cheaper and here are the results:

so yea don't go with sky

let me know if any of you use sky and if its any good as for me it sucked.

Yeah it is pretty bad. That's what I use at my dad's...

Laggs me out all the time and it says we should have 70 meg

Its area dependant to be honest i know some people rave about TalkTalk whereas for us it was woeful.

But i doubt thats accurate to be honest xD 100 down compared to 2.5

Lol it also helps that she wouldn't have had a bunch of devices on hers like you likely do like mobile phones, smart TV's etc.

The thing with sky is they buy of "BT" so when anything goes wrong they have to get help from them as well as the lines they use are still adsl, where as virgin media use cable

yea we have a lot but it was terrible with the connection when we played xbox someone had to get off the ipad or the laptop.

Damn, your connection seems a lot better now, good for you. I've never heard of Sky before, so based on that it wouldn't be something I would get lol. Glad you're onto something better now

Have been with Sky in the past and they wern't very good.

Currently with TalkTalk which to some surpirse compared to what people say have been good. Haven't had a problem with them.

I would go with Virgin for the speeds but they aren't available in my area yet.
