Def Xbox without a doubt

Right, so I know this is for who you thought won E3, but I wanted to put my input about my time at E3, more specifically the games. I'll edit this post with updates and some photos tomorrow because I am just worn out from today.

Games I got to play were Tomb Raider, Black Ops 4, Smash Bros (last minute got a ticket for it.) Let's Go Pikachu - New Pokemon game, Fate Extella Link and a few others I'll update tomorrow.

I'll start by saying I was unable to play Battlefield 5 because the Xbox convention, which apparently EA was with, was in the Staples Center, not the Los Angeles Convention Center, which meant more waiting outside in lines before getting in to go in more lines, so I didn't bother. 90 something degree weather in the sun doesn't do good for a Russian. The Bethesda line for Fallout 76 was not happening at all and I don't even know if that was to play or test the game, that line was the biggest line I saw the whole event.

Anyways, we'll start with Black Ops 4. I can see where people really were saying it's Black Ops 3 ported over or a Black Ops 3.5, a lot of the specialists from BO3 are in BO4, just a earlier/younger version of themselves. It looks like BO3 but plays a lot differently. Time to kill is way shorter and that's because of two reasons. First one is your health is 150 right now, with some specialists bringing in armour that increases that HP. Second, the guns are not all that strong, minus shotguns and snipers. It is not uncommon at medium range with an assault rifle to get 5-6 hitmarkers before you kill someone. Shotguns are back as a secondary, so like, you can take that instead of your pistol without needing a perk. Pick 10 system is back, which I'm a little iffy about because of how they did the attachment system. Sniper rifles right now, are a little stupid broken and that's solely on the new attachment system. So with previous CoD games, you can put say a Foregrip on your gun to make it have less recoil, well on assault rifles, if you put on Foregrip, you can put on a second attachment called Foregrip 2, which I believed reduced the sway while also reducing the recoil. Now, back to the snipers, there is an attachment (don't remember the name) but the first tier makes it so stomach shots with a sniper rifle do more damage, not too bad but easily makes them more of a threat, now the second version of that attachment, makes it so sniper rifles do even more damage in the LEGS. The bolt action .50 cal with both attachments will one shot anyone, as long as you aim above their knees. So snipers are going to be a problem for a lot of people. I didn't get to try other classes and what their second attachments were but I do know the shotguns you can put on long barrel and the second attachment increased the range even further and packs the pellets much closer together.

Specialists now have their specialist weapon and also specialist equipment/ability. So Seraph retains her Annihilator pistol almost exactly like from BO3, just the iron sights are way better but her equipment is basically a tac-insertion for her whole team unless it is destroyed or time runs out. Firebreak retains his Purifier (flamethrower) from BO3 with far less ammo (Only 40 instead of 100) and his ability now is he stays still and releases heat and radiation in a fair AoE that can penetrate through walls, however you are completely vulnerable to being shot, as it does not kill too quick and you have to control the action, don't do anything, you'll go into a lethal zone which I believe kills you and if you cancel too early, wasted the ability for a while. Healing is of course manual now, charges somewhat quick enough but a lot of times I forgot to even heal myself up because I am used to it regenerating on it's own. My biggest gripe, is the damn medal system is way too loud, like getting a kill, headshot, ect, the noise you get for the medals is often at times louder than an actual gun fight with multiple people.

Smash Bros, Jesus this game was amazing. They only had 22 characters I believe to be played and I'm going to come out and say this right now, Ridley is straight up broken, so much so some people in the competitive section were saying he should be nerfed on release and even asked if he could be banned for the competitive match at E3. Absolute ledge denier, his smash charges are quick, decent range and powerful. He also has a stun move that drops you to the floor, leaves you there so he can full charge a smash move to knock you across. Ganondorf also seemed way stronger than before and that's solely in his smash attacks. Not as broken as Ridley, but threw off a lot of people with how much of a threat he now was. The game ran absolutely perfect. Very fluid, controls were very responsive and the graphics just looked gorgeous. They added in a lot of new Assist Trophies and one thing I liked, is the Final Smash orbs that spawn in, sometimes 2 will spawn in, with one of them being fake -- not sure what the fake one does when broken, nothing seemed too different, my only guess would be the real one breaks for the enemy when they hit it once. Nintendo reps there told me the game comes out December 7th this year as I don't believe a date was announced at the panel, other than in December.

I have been thinking about whether or not Nintendo had any way of having a better conference. After a while I realized Nintendo really had no surprises. We already knew a Pokmon game was coming, super smash was also obvious. Although the game looks even better than expected, we still knew it was gonna be announced. It was the same with Fortnite. Xbox on the other hand dropped Halo(which did get leaked but was never confirmed) and Gears 5 which was absolutely insane. Throwing in fallout 76, being halo infinite to pc, and promising a new console is in the works, it's impossible to beat Xbox. They had the best conference for sure.

Xbox is in the process of bringing us a new console; and that's what I'm stoked about as for the games they're bringing us and what not. They've hands down won, and runner up would have to be Nintendo for sure.
