What is up folks! So I am new to NBA 2k. Obviously I played it when I was a kid... Long time ago.
I need some tips on passing, Shooting, Dribbling and all that fancy stuff.
I want to beat my in real life friend, and he is very good. So fire away!
If I find your tips and or tricks to be effective or useful I will rep you the full amount I can send. Thanks in advance.

Alright, couple things id recommend,
Learn how to snatchback
Learn how to Post spin
Floaters/Reverse dunks
First thing you want to do is go to controller settings in options,
Turn Pro Stick Orientation to Absolute, this makes it that your controls won't change depending on what side of the court you're on.
Next, practice the snatchback, its a cheesy move and when done with the correct player (EX:Steph Curry has Hall of Fame ankle breaker, which means he has a extremely high chance to make your defender stumble or fall flat when doing a snatchback.) It's done by flicking the right stick back while holding RT
Post spin, its a big men move, usually done by your center, you back your defender down with the left trigger, and tap it twice to spin off your defender and get a free layup or dunk.
Floaters aren't too important but its nice to know how to do them, without holding turbo, flick the right stick down while running to the basket.
And finally Reverse Dunks/Layups (same category)
To do a Reverse layup/Dunk, while running from the corner, on either side, push the right stick towards out of bounds on either side, its hard to explain so ill use my paint skills to show an example.
That's about as simple as it gets, make sure you go to 2k university to practice some of these things. Its under Play Now > 2KU
Edit: actually, ill upload some quick clips of me doing these things.
Snatchback
Reverse Layup
Backing someone down (gonna be a little bit harder when they're tall (sorry IT, it was for educational purposes)
Backing someone down+Post Spinning
There's one more thing you should know, its not very reliable but it can help you a lot if your friend likes to camp in the paint, its a posterizer dunk, its done by pulling the right stick down while holding RT and going in when someone is under the rim. some examples of me getting them (pay attention to where they're standing when i get the animations its very important)
