If it is switched on it can be located by the cops i think maybe go to your local station and ask them?

Other than that maybe like google locations history

No it's been off for ages, I think it may have been stolen because calls were ended and eventually was turned off or charge ran out. Googles location hasn't helped since it still says the last time used was yesterday before i lost it. Police have been contacted and said it's my own fault for losing it.

They can do, normally when you take them out the company will ask you if you want to take it out and they give you like a free month or something.

But with that they also can have some super shitty restrictions like not covering if it was taken to a public place etc. You would have to look at the paperwork you got with the phone and see whats what with it dude.

You have to take out insurance at the time when you take out the phone, ask them to see if you did that?
