Here is my problem. My son's PC was working perfectly and after a spark and a pop from it it would not send a signal to the monitor.

Tried various cables and monitors and no joy. Checked the Mobo and saw the atx power connecter was burnt on both PSU connector and mobo.

So bought new pre-built and tested mobo and processor bundle, re built it all and still having same problem!!

Took out the GPU and tried it with the on board graphics card using monitor cable then hdmi. Same problem!!

The PSU seems to be working fine (unplugged burnt connector) and everything connected is whirring away and LED's are lit up. By process of elimination I'm thinking it could be the PSU. Getting "no signal" whatsoever to any monitor or tv.

I have even tried just using using just one ram stick at a time.

Current system.

Asus M5A78L-M USB3 MOBO
AMD VISHERA FX-8350 PROCESSOR
16GB DDR3 RAM
WD 1TB SATA HDD
ASUS GEFORCE GTX1050TI GPU
TRUST 570WATT PSU.

any suggestions greatly received.

Replace PSU asap. Not only is it a well known PSU, big factor since most cheap knock off's will use lesser reliable components, but it probably has caused this issue.

The PSU might still be "working" but it might not be delivering the correct power to one of the rails causing this issue of not turning on.

If you have a budget & currency to work with, we can recommend a decent PSU.

Welcome to TTG by the way!

Thanks for that. I suppose it was an "excuse" to justify upgrading to the Mrs. lol

Prob looking to spend £50ish as Ive already spent a small on ram, hdd, mobo and processor in the last 6 months.

Any recommendations welcome.

It's never a bad thing to spend out on a decent PSU. I'm all too aware of what a bad PSU can do. Left my PC on during Christmas dinner to come back to it dead. Replaced PSU, all handy dandy.
