So I'm going to get bo4 with my mate with my account on his ps4 so we can go half's on the game, I want to get it before the beta comes out will he be able to play the beta as well even tho I purchased the game? My account will be primary on his ps4

Yeah you both should be able to play. I've done that before for bo3.
