You guys must live outside the US the ones talking about signing a contract with a union to get a set amount of hours a week.. Here in the US, the only jobs that really offer unions I know of in the US are like trade jobs, such as Pipefitting, Utility workers and so forth.. Any job you get in the US at a Mcds, Walmart, Best buy etc.., They can hire you on and say: You are gunna get 50 hours a week then 3 weeks into the job they can put you at 5 hours if they wanted to. The only thing you can do is keep working or find a new job.
