My first week of college is fast approaching and I wanted to ask the people here on the site what the best way to meet new people and make friends is when you know nobody?

I have just finished my first year at college (UK) and I have made so many new friends so don't stress!

If you are in the UK, you will be put into your tutor group which, depenedant on the college, will have around 10-15 people in it. I would make it a priority to try and befriend as many people in your form as possible.

Same applies to your classes, just start talking to people and try and make the effort to start the conversation (don't try too hard though)

But yeah, college goes by very quickly so don't worry man, best of luck

Social media & gaming platforms are the easiest. As for IRL friends, stay solo. Friends are a pain.

I wouldn't worry on doing anything specific except from just general conversion you should just mix with people from the beginning

Just general conversation, don't be afraid to be the first to start it. Best way to make friends in college is just asking people or talking to them about anything. Anything you will have in common is good grounds in starting a friendship/acquaintance.
