A few years ago I bought an Alienware pc for around $900 (wasn't worth) and was able to run games like cs:go (not that hard to run). I sold that pc later on because it didn't run the games I wanted it to. I couldn't upgrade it or anything either. Now I am back into pc gaming and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a pc that can run games like Fortnite, CoD, and other semi graphics heavy games at at least high 70-80fps. Budget would be anywhere in between $0-$500. If there isn't any good options then the budget can move up if needed, just not too much. I am actually hoping to put around $1,200 into this, but I don't want to do it right away. Thanks.

If you're planning on spending another $500+ on upgrades relatively soon, you'd be better off waiting until you have all the money and build a system then.

If you want a system, you need to answer some questions for us;
Will the PC be used for anything other than games? If yes, what?
Do you need monitor(s) included? If not, what monitor(s) will you be using with the system?
Do you need a keyboard/mouse?
Will you overclock?

1) I will be using the pc mainly to game, but will also be using photoshop and vegas to make videos on occasion.
2) I have some crappy little tv I can use until I get some money to buy a better monitor (Sylvania around 18")
3) I have a pretty good keyboard and mouse already so I'll be good on that part
4) I have never overclocked anything for any reason so far, if there is a good reason to overclock let me know.

I may or may not go for the cheaper $500 build first because the only jobs I can get around me are grocery store jobs and other things similar. I also have school so I won't be making as much as I would hope. If possible can you tell me a build for $500 and another for around $1200? I would do it myself, but I honestly am not good at picking out good parts for what I want.

For $500, you'd be best with something like this;
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] / [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

CPU: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ($98.89 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ($59.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ($85.98 @ Newegg)
Storage: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ($39.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ($37.89 @ Newegg Marketplace)
Case: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ($34.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Power Supply: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ($29.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $387.72

and a used GTX 970(around $120).

Any $1200 system I recommend now will definitely not make sense in just a few week's time so it wouldn't even help you. The $500 system might even not make sense by the time you build if it's that far off, but there isn't much lower end stuff releasing that soon which should make significantly more sense- just some higher end stuff coming soon.

For $500, re-use the TV for now and then buy yourself a monitor ASAP. Any more than $500, buy a monitor at the same time as the system, and if you're spending $1200, you should probably be looking at 1440p.

Best bet is to just work a while, save up your cash and when you have a budget that you're comfortable with, we can help with a parts list for your actual budget when you have the money to buy everything.

Thanks for your responses. I may just have to wait a while so I can buy everything together including the monitor and a semi expensive build. If I grow impatient then I'll come back to this post and try this out. I'll try to save for a while. Again, thank you so much. If I don't use this, then someone else will (maybe a friend or family member of mine).
