What kind of anti-virus protection do you have? How long have you had it? Rank it 0-10 and why?

I don't use an anti virus, you should need one really. Never have used one and never had a virus. You should know what is going to be infected and what won't be. I'd use malewarebytes though if I did.

I am starting to get back into all that stuff and I feel like it couldn't hurt

Just make sure to throw the files into virus total and stuff as well. Alternatively setup a virtual system and check on that prior to your main system.

Windows Defender + Malwarebytes!
I will run a Scan from both of them every other day as I download RTM tools that I don't totally trust.
