I'm thinking about becoming a cop but I wanna know what the road to get there is like? What are the physical requirements, what is the academy like and is is true you have to pass a lie detector test?

The user Glock is an officer.

Also I'm pretty sure in every state the requirements are different but in Arizona... you have to run a mile and a half in 12 minutes or less, 30 push ups in a minute, 30 sit ups in a minute, and climb a 6 foot wall. I'm pretty sure that's it.

And yes, you do have to pass a lie detector test. The questions are mostly about your background and if you've done anything illegal. Once you pass that, you've earned your way into the academy.
