Jtags are the best to get, but they are rare. They're rare because only xboxes with dashboard 2.0.7371.0 and lower could be jtagged, depending on the mfr date. Rgh 1.2 is a reliable hack for a Jasper, they're fast, they could be done on almost every phat xbox. Slims are okay, i would get a trinity if I wanted a slim.

Xenons are the worst, they don't have hdmi and they have a high chance of RROD
Falcons could be good, depending how you take care of it but they still have a somewhat of a high chance of RROD, not as high as a xenon though.
Jaspers are the very best of the phats, they rarely get rrod, they're my personal favorite of any 360 motherboard.
I couldn't tell you much about slims since I only owned 1 ever, but I hear trinity is the best to get.

Personally I think it's a bad idea to buy a modded console just to mod gta and cod, you could do much more if you know how to use them.
