no it works in 2-3-4 players too but it's difficult to do compared to this one....
just search around there are about 2-3 topics about this glitch, mine is with TTG_FRIEL's dog glitch with it nice strat the others are simple and one explains 2-3-4 players too

i made it to 120 something with a box weapon(Wunderwaffe) then when i got bored i ran out of the tele and tried to make it...i didn't

I got to lvl 20 and just quit cuz i just wanted dumb achievement
