How do i fix a code E78 on my Jtag?

AsicId check failed.....It's kinda unknown but...Seeing how it's a software error and you have a Jtag, I'd say reflash your FreeBOOT image and see if that helps..

If not, reflash back to orig_nand and try to boot..If it works, it's going to be in your FreeBOOT image and needs corrected,obviously..lol

If not, I would focus on the South Bridge chip and see if a Reflow will help if the other suggestions didn't work..

Deffinately reflash. Maybe try XBR to freeboot TUT

With this how would I reflash i cant even get to the dashboard to flash and I dont have my original nand I did know to do this.

You dont flash freeboot through your dash LOL You have LPT or USB cable? You need to find an XBR to freeboot TUT.

so how do i reflash it Im not able to do anything on the Jtag so do i have to some how connect this to the computer.

Damn dude...... did you just buy this Jtag? If you did you might need to take it apart and solder connections to your nand points. Yes it has to be hooked up to the computer so you can flash freeboot

yeah i bought this already done so im go have to basicly do some more research on where to find the nand point and get LPT. Do you know where i can get some directions from.

have you opened it up yet? it might already have a setup installed... as a mttar of fact open up your console

the second pic in that post is a good view of nand points (not the two wires coming from the quick solder board the other ones that are soldered to the motherboard) see if somethings hooked up to that if not.... your going to have to make something. Either LPT or USB
