i may be wrong but i don't think it's possible to use HD cables and SD cables together you have to use SD with a dazzle.
Do you have a SD xbox composite cable or is it just a HD one?

snbrndorphan wrotelike i said you can't use HD cables with a SD recording device. You need a SD xbox composite cable (red, white and yellow) Then it should work. You can also use a s-video cable instead of the composite cables although i don't know too much about it.TTG_ISOMODZ wrote yup get splitters dude +rep?

you can use the dazzle without splitters.
1. switch your xbox av cables to standard.
2. plug the HD ones into the TV and the standard ones into the dazzle.
3. Make sure on your xbox you go to console settings then Display settings and select 480p.
4. Now it should work you wont have sound out of your TV unless you have a TurtleBeach and if you do you set that up to your dazzle.
If you need a vid there should be some on youtube!
