Well; you know how some people say Dr. Maxis looks like the Psychotic bitch scientist which people sometimes name many things?
Well, my idea is that when him, Sam, and demented-apesh*t Fluffy were in that room locked by Richtofen, he could've tried teleporting himself as a last resort, but like Richtofen, Dempsey, Takeo, and Nikolai, it also made him time travel. Also, the teleporter could have been flawed, making Maxis evil and psychotic just as Fluffy was, making him evil scientist dude.
This is just a small theory I was thinking of. Don't judge me

He couldnt have time travelled in the new black ops version of shi no numa the new radio says Richtofen fired the wundawaffe dg3 and used the teleporter and they fused... Therefore making them time travel.
Unless Maxis had another wundawaffe its not really likely according to story.
But i would like to see him being alive. Or zombiefied........
