Hi,yer i made a lag switch about 2 weeks ago and it works perfect
I use a Ethernet cable but it didn't reach my router,so i use 3 ether-nets cut of the ends and soldered all of them to make one long one in my time doing this you wanna make sure that you have cut the ORANGE WIRE and shaved off the skin so you can see some copper.
Make sure you don't get any plastic in the copper otherwise it wont flow properly.
But if your lag switch is not doing anything, you might have a short check to see if the switch is grabbing the copper and conducting properly but if all this does not work im sorry but i tried Good luck and i hope this helped.

Yea I keep trying it and my internet is still working fine, I really don't think I messed anything up, but I will just go make another cable and try it again.

Hey I'm thinking about selling transfer cables and mod tools WITH instructions and pictures for around $10 each... send a message to my gamertag: nickw14 on XBL if you would buy one. I'm just seeing how many people would buy before I invest into them. If you arent on XBL yet, e-mail me @ nickwilg @ yahoo.com.

PS- if you email me, please make subject TRANSFER CABLES!!! all caps

Thanks!

Yea well my xbox is to far away from my modem so I can't even try it out on live, I just used a spare ethernet in case I messed up, but I tried it just with my computer and it works great.
