Okay, before the flaming begins, I will explain a bit. I have been modding and repairing consoles and video game systems for a couple of years now, but I haven't had the privelage of working on a jtag system yet-until now. A few days ago I ran across an old school dash 360. I bought all my parts from Radio Shack and made my lpt from a cat-5 and all that good stuff.

I learned what an .xex is, I learned a little about freestyle dash and would love more info on skins, adding the nand dump option into the freestyle dash, setting it up to recieve updates automatically (non-xbox live), xlink kai, fixing directories to find my content, installing an internal sata hdd in place of dvd drive and little things like that. This would be the wrong section for that I know, as it's about Black Ops modding, which brings me to my point:

I have a very good understanding of the potential of my Zephyr, but I can't for the life of me get these awesome zombies mods to work in a private match! I have tried to read up on it all, but I am a little overwhelmed from all the info I've taken in the last few days. I understand that my Zephyr has to host system link, I can join on my retail box, then I have all these awesome mods like super jump and ray gun and death machine (thank you ttg), but I don't know how to infect myself so that I can host a private match for my friends. I'm sure there are a lot of posts like this, but the problem is when I search for a solution all I can find is the same problem lol-no solutions.

So if anyone can help me, all I can really offer is plus rep and a game invite-but I don't care about 15th prestige, just some good ol zombie fun!

bump ;) I still need a little bit of an understanding of how host infections work with games from my jtag. I know the information is all here, but it is hard to find the specific answers...

Infections are DVARS (developer variations). A dvar is set on a client from the hosts script. They change some kind of game setting.

Okay, I'm starting to understand better. So the reason why I haven't been able to find an exact answer I think, is because each game has to be set up differently. Like for example Left 4 Dead 2 would have different instructions to create a host match with infections for online mods than the instructions for Black Ops, right? If this is the case, then for each specific game, the loading method of the infection would differ for each game. Is this right?

Exactly what I'm trying to accomplish now: I have some emulators and they run great! I have Black Ops on my jtag's hard drive, and the infection files for zombies with TU3. I can host system link with my jtag without a live account, and join it with my retail box. The mods work great! The problem is, I can't figure out how to infect my retail box so it can host for my friends in a private game. I think this is supposed to be how it's done, right? I know I'm asking some noob questions, but I do learn fast lol
