also note that THERE ARE NO STICKIES ON THIS... THERE IS A OVERALL GUIDE TO THE FORUM BUT NOT A DETAILED REP GUIDE SO QUITE POSTING ABOUT A NON-EXISTING STICKY!

first, i would like to say that this is mainly for new user because i see threads daily about rep and this should clear up many questions.

Rep is a system on ttg that has multiple uses

* shows how helpful a user is on ttg
* is used to show others how helpful or unhelpful they are (will go into detail later)
* shows commitment on ttg

rep power shows your reputation on the website. you may earn rep power two ways.

* For every 100 rep points you earn, you earn 1 rep power
* For every 25 posts you post, you earn 1 rep power

eventually these add up to get to where I am or other members on ttg. Helping users out by hosting contests and shops is a great way to get rep (thats how I got so much)

you earn rep points when people give you rep. I will explain how to give rep later. Boosting for rep is against the rules. Also, spamming to get higher rep power with posts is frowned upon and could get you -repped. Make sure all of your posts are helpful so this doesn't happen.

You start out with one green bar. once you reach 200 rep power, you receive another bar. From then on out, it is only 100 rep power to get another bar. once you get 5 bars, they turn light green.

To give people rep, follow the instructions found below.

1. Click on this emblem found on the bottom right of someones post.

2. now click on the drop down menu and select how much rep you would like to give (you can only give whatever your rep power is.). Then decide if you want to + or - rep. Leave a nice comment if you want . Finally, click the add to reputation button.

and then the player will receive rep. Thats all there is to giving rep!



If you find a post or thread that is helpul, then +rep.
If you find a post or thread that is exeptionally helpful, then thank and +rep.
If you find a post or thread that is useless, then -rep and report.
If you find a post or thread that is spam, -rep.
