the talkback cable is either not working or not pluged in properly. if it's not working then either take it back to where you bought it from or phone up turtle beach and order a new one.

SKIP TO BOTTOM FIRST:::::Well i just recently had this same problem. This happenes to most X1 headphone. First off go to this site

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Then buy a X1 XBOX LIVE Talkback Cable "Puck". Then when it comes it will allow you to talk

Also before you do that Follow these steps!

1.First plug in your Headset into your computer
2.Go to control pannel
3.Find the Microphone tab
4.Test if the mic picks up what you are saying
5.If it does then you need a new X1 XBOX LIVE Talkback Cable "Puck"

Ok guys there is no way to fix that just buy a new one or return it, because u could fix it buy getting a certified tech but it will cost more for the tech then buying a new one and no its not the wire connecting to turtle beach to controller because mine did same but I have 2 turtle beach headsets so yeah I tested it on my working one and yeah It was not the wire connecting to controller.

Thanks

Turtle Beaches are for little children who can't afford a decent TV/Monitor anyway.
