I got my turtle beaches for christmas and they work fine but i can not hear people in lobbies and sometimes when i try to talk they cant hear me

1. Make sure the controller is plugged into the headset.
2. Make sure the volume is turned up and the mic is turned on.
3. Press xbox button and go to the voice setting and check and make sure the settings are turned up.
4. If all else fails, take it back to the store were it was bought and try to get a new one

sometimes happens to me i just unplug the headset cable from both the controller and turtle beach connector and then plug it back in and it works for me.

try pluging the mic part of it maby its loose
