So I just ordered my 8.5gb 8x speed disks from ebay because I want to mod GTA IV: TBOGT online and use the new v5.0 mods.
The only thing is that I heard your dvd drive has to be benQ or Hitachi to hotswap. I have the new xbox 360 slim 250gb console and I heard that this xbox's dvd drive is a PHILIPS one. Does this mean that I can not hotswap?
I still have my old 20gb xbox pro that I don't use anymore so if I can not do it on my new one, I still have that one to fall back on.
The last thing is that I don't want to take apart my new xbox so can anyone tell me if this method of hotswaping is still working?
: Press Y + eject at the same time use three games. ( modded game, random game and the game you want to mod).

no this method was patched and never really worked the only way to hotswap your xbox is to open it hope i cleared tings up
