1. Configure the software. To do this:
a. Specify MDM as the XMDStub_Peripheral to MicroBlaze™ processor in the Software Platform tab of the Software Platform Settings dialog box.
b. Initialize the block RAM with XMDStub. In the Applications tab of the XPS main window, right-click XmdStub and select Mark to Initialize BRAMs.
2. Set the software application options. To do this:
a. Double-Click the application to open the Compiler Options dialog box.
b. In the Environment tab, set the Application mode to XMDStub.
c. In the Debug and Optimization tab, set the optimization level to No Optimization and select Create Symbols for Debugging.
d. Compile the program.
3. Specify the Xilinx® Microprocessor Debugger (XMD) target options. To do this:
a. In XPS, select Debug > XMD Debug Options.
b. Select the MicroBlaze Processor Target.
c. Set the Connection type to stub and click Save.
